I had the wonderful luck of being in new mexico in the beginning of november, so you have an idea where this is going. My rogue got flooded bad and I've been chacing electrical problems for months. The dealership replaced the ecu which made things livable but the car is far from how it was before. Most people so far said to give on it so i'm hoping to find someone here to give me a glimpse of hope!

Check other parts too, not just the ECU. You need to gut it out, remove all of the contaminated items, and replace them all.

That sounds tough. Flood damage can really stick around in a car. Even if you put in a new ECU, parts like connectors or modules by the battery could still be corroded

Just curious, what problems are you still dealing with? Are there warning lights on the dashboard or any strange electrical issues? That might help figure out what to look at next

Thats a major thing, sorry to say. Floods cause a variety of hidden electrical issues, and even with a new ECU, lingering problems are common. Have a pro check the full wiring harness, there's still hope if you catch EVERYTHING.

@BigBoy11 man, I'm sorry to hear that. you know, the ECU replacement was a good step, but modern cars are packed with dozens of control modules. Water probably got into others that aren't completely dead but are sending bad signals or glitching. Things like the Body Control Module (BCM), Transmission Control Module (TCM), ABS module, and even infotainment modules can cause weird issues.
Can you get the interior bone dry (dehumidifiers, fans for days/weeks)? Residual moisture causes ongoing corrosion.

That's rough, flood damage can be such a nightmare! Try a full harness inspection or swapping out corroded connectors. You may already know that corrosion travels fast so hope you got it sorted already.
