Is paint chipping common?

I recently got my hands on a 2021 Rogue, a sweet deal and I'm not sure if I'm imagining or if the paint chips like crazy. Yeah, I do load of highway miles, but I've never had a car chip this bad. Not sure if it's the paint (pearl white) or nissan's quality went down the drain in past years. Anyone else noticed this?

I'm not overly bothered by it, but I'm sad to see a new car looking like it's seen millions of miles.

yeah that's pretty common with nissans lately especially with pearl white. they switched to water-based paint a while back and it's kinda softer so chips easier. highway miles just make it worse with all the rocks and junk hitting it. some people throw on ppf or ceramic coating to help but yeah nissan paint's been kinda weak for a bit now

I get what you mean.. and getting it repainted or fixed is not that cheap, too. to be honest this is just my issue now. Other than that this car is just awesome!

I dont know how bad it looks but try grabbing a touch-up paint pen matching your pearl white, and do what @ArcaneAlgorithm3000 said with the clear bra. It's a worthwhile investment for your peace of mind!
