P2610 code keeps coming back

I just got a used 2020 Rogue with low mileage and it looks great, but I keep getting a P2610 code after about 20 minutes of driving. The car runs perfectly fine otherwise. I've checked the battery and fuses, and they're all good. Has anyone encountered this issue before without it being related to crash damage? I'm looking for suggestions on what to check next.

It's not always crash related sometimes a weak battery in the past, an interrupted reflash, or even a software bug can cause it, I think you should check for any pending ECM updates at the dealer. I've also heard of people clearing it and never seeing it again, but if it keeps coming back, reprogramming or replacing the ECM might be in the cards for you

P2610 on these usually points to the ECM losing track of run time, even when everything feels normal. @drivequiet5avemore if it’s still popping up in 2026, maybe you can have the dealer check for any outstanding ECM updates or past reflash history before chasing hardware.
